Global MPI: 10 indicatorsvsNational MPI: 12 indicators
UR ÷ labour forcevsWPR ÷ population

PMJJBY: life, ₹436vsPMSBY: accident, ₹20
11th Plan: inclusivevs12th Plan: inclusive + sustainable
Favourite MCQ trap
“The Rangarajan Committee’s poverty line is India’s official line.” Wrong. The government never formally adopted it; the last official estimate (2011–12) used the Tendulkar method. Also watch for Alagh’s calorie norms being attached to Tendulkar.
Second favourite trap
“MGNREGA guarantees 100 days of work to every adult.” Wrong twice over: it was per household, and from 1 July 2026 it has been replaced by the VB-G RAM G Act, which guarantees 125 days per household.
